Overview

A durable coating starts with pre-treatment

Powder coating applies dry polymer powder electrostatically and cures it in an oven. The result is a continuous, solvent-free coating that resists impact, abrasion and weathering – the industrial standard for steel structures, furniture frames, equipment enclosures and architectural elements.

Coating life depends less on the powder than on surface preparation. On our line every part is chemically pre-treated automatically – degreased and prepared for adhesion. With more than 20 years of aluminium experience we know how much this matters for a metal with a natural oxide layer.

For designers

Designing parts for powder coating

Hanging holesplace them where the finish is not critical
Drain holesclosed profiles must release chemicals and air
Maskingmark threads and contact surfaces on the drawing
Sharp edgesround them – coating is thinner on edges
Gaps and slotsavoid narrow gaps where chemicals collect
Weldsfree of slag and spatter for a cleaner result

About the service

Industrial powder coating for aluminium and steel

Powder coating applies dry, solvent-free powder electrostatically and cures it in an oven, forming a continuous, durable and corrosion-resistant finish. In our plant in Kaunas, UAB Alumnita coats aluminium and mild steel parts up to 5500 × 1400 × 2600 mm and 430 kg, with automated chemical pre-treatment before coating.

Pre-treatment is adapted to both materials, ensuring stable adhesion on aluminium and properly degreased steel surfaces. We coat in the full RAL range with matt, semi-gloss, gloss and textured finishes; UV-resistant polyester powders are used for outdoor products and epoxy or hybrid powders for indoor equipment.

The service covers steel structures, equipment enclosures, furniture frames, facade and architectural elements. Coating can be ordered separately or together with laser cutting, tube cutting and welding, so the complete product is made in one place. Annual line capacity is up to 1,000,000 m².
